|Get to know Wendy Cross, the woman behind our Strategic Partnership Program. She’s working to build value for our customers and partners through this program. Before ServiceCore, Wendy worked at Arnold’s Environmental Services for 5 years. While working at Arnold’s she was also the Vice President of the PSAI Board of Managers. Working with ServiceCore required Wendy to resign from her board position, but she has remained involved as a volunteer with the PSAI.|
Q & A WITH WENDY CROSS
When and how did you get into the portable toilet industry? I started at Arnold’s Environmental Services in January of 2016 after a career with the Milwaukee YMCA. I knew the owner of Arnold’s and they were looking for a new Sales Director and I wanted to make a change from the Y. I mean we all know how glamorous the portable toilet industry is and I wanted to be a part of it!
What is your favorite thing about this industry? What I loved about being with the YMCA was how much of a family it was across the globe. I was thrilled when I discovered that the portable sanitation industry is an even closer knit group of people. I have made some of my best friendships within this industry. My involvement with the PSAI as a board member and volunteer has also had a great impact on being able to connect deeper within the industry.
What is your role at ServiceCore? I am in the new role of Head of Strategic Partnerships. So, I am building relationships and collaborating with others in the industry to benefit all involved!
What is your favorite thing about ServiceCore? I really can’t express enough how grateful I am to have found a place with SC. It has such a great culture. Supportive, empowering and a whole lot of fun! I feel that SC has really become an industry leader in software because they understand the needs of the users much more than most of the other options out there for software.
Tell us about your family? I am blessed with an amazing husband and 3 daughters. Our girls are 20, 17 and 14. We seem to have made it through the teenage years pretty unscathed! Our oldest, Kelsey, currently goes to Winona State and will be going onto grad school at Palmer Chiropractic College this summer. Middle daughter, Kendra, will graduate early from high school this spring thanks to Covid and virtual school (one good thing from 2020) Our youngest, Cassie, is currently a YouTube and Tik Tok expert…is that even a real thing? I guess it is when you’re 14. Of course, last but not least, we have McFly the wonder dog!
Anything else we should know? I am a born and raised Cheesehead still living in Wisconsin and yes, the Packers are America’s team!
