ServiceCore Employee Spotlight: John, Enterprise Sales Lead

We know a lot of companies say this, but here at ServiceCore, we think our customers are the greatest. Since we designed our tool to specifically meet the needs of portable, septic, and dumpster rental businesses, we feel like we know our customers pretty darn well – so we figured it’s only fair we return the favor!

Introducing our monthly Employee Spotlight series, where you can get to know a ServiceCore employee a little better and get an inside peek at the team helping you grow your portable sanitation business.

This month, we caught up with John, our Enterprise Sales Lead.

Please share a couple of facts about the career journey that brought you to ServiceCore.

I was a long-time Telecom Sales rep that got to experience all the excitement of the Software world.  When I found ServiceCore and had the opportunity to help build a product from the ground floor, I knew I had found my home!

How long have you been working at ServiceCore?

In June, I will have been with ServiceCore for 6 years.

John joined our small team of 7 back in 2017. Today, he’s one of 60+ employees at ServiceCore.

What’s your role here at ServiceCore? / How do you spend your day?

The majority of my day revolves around connecting with potential clients to understand their needs and explore how our software can help them. I enjoy the opportunity to showcase our solution through interactive demonstrations, helping clients visualize how it can solve their challenges.

While closing deals is a part of the process, my main focus is building meaningful connections and finding the right fit between our software and the client’s goals. It’s fulfilling to see clients embrace our solution and witness the positive impact it can have on their operations.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

When I’m not at ServiceCore, I enjoy traveling, going to the gym, taking my dog Oakley for walks, and hitting the golf links.

Can you tell us about one of your favorite / most memorable ServiceCore clients?

Each of them holds a special place in my heart, but there is one client that I will always remember – a company called Grasslands H20. I met with them over the course of 5 years and intently listened to their needs while working with our team to advance the product to a place where we could ultimately earn their business.

If you could give ServiceCore users one tip about how to best use our tool, what would it be?

When in doubt, ask questions. You have an entire team at ServiceCore devoted to your success in using the software to perfection. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them – it’s what they’re there for!

What are your hopes for ServiceCore in the future?

I expect ServiceCore to become the de facto, go-to software option for all portable toilet and pumping companies without fail!
